We spent a fantastic day with Xieng, we went to villages where life is slow, despite the various difficulties of the people who live there they are always kind and have a smile to give you. I absolutely recommend organising with Mr. Xieng, because if you come to Laos, I assure you that these experiences will change the way you see the world. I also specify that Xieng was also worried about drinking and food for lunch.

We had an amazing time! Everything was very well organized, and the whole experience was even better than expected. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the experience special. The organization was smooth, the atmosphere was great, and we felt very well taken care of throughout. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip — highly recommended!

I don’t know how to express how amazing it was with words. I’m very grateful for knowing this trip and experiencing with Xieng. He is a lovely man showing me everything I wanted to know and helping to connect with those locals.

Highly recommended to people who wanting to see a different Laos aside from city area like Luang Prabang. Roads might be muddy and bumpy, but those eyes with excitement and appreciation from local kids will let you feel like those only part of the journey.

Xieng is the best tour guide my partner and I have ever had, he and his friend Somsouk picked us up from our hotel and took us out to see some remote villages around an hour outside of Luang Prabang. On the way we were given the opportunity to buy some school supplies and candy for the children in the village which was our pleasure, we only wish we’d bought more to bring ahead of time such as toys etc. From start to finish it was educational without being overwhelming and Xieng’s enthusiasm for the local culture shines through. We got to meet many locals of the four villages we visited as we were taught about the many different minorities you can find in Laos. We felt the hospitality of the locals as we were invited into homes to eat, play their instruments and watch as a village elder performed a ritual in preparation for a sacrifice. This tour is well worth the price and we’re sure we will return one day to do it all again. 100% recommend.

We went on a tour to Mekong River and the Pak Ou cave yesterday with an amazing tour guide. This community definitely goes the extra step to make your tour a wonderful as they possibly can. This was our second time using the community for a tour and both times were amazing! My favorite part was cruising down the Mekong on a huge boat with just the captain of the boat the tour guide and my daughter. If you looking for a five star tour company this is your place!

We spent four fantastic days with Sieng in Luang Prabang, Laos. He is an exceptionally kind man who manages to balance his depth of knowledge and professionalism with a tremendous sense of fun. We even spent a very lively evening with Sieng and our driver playing Pétanque with the locals – an unexpected highlight amongst all the great things we did with him. We recommend him without hesitation – 5 stars for sure!

Recently, I had the good fortune to experience the Remote Villages tour with Sieng, from Lao Explorer. We visited some Khmu and Hmong villages and gained some insight into how these wonderful people manage to live, under difficult conditions. The villagers were natural and warmly welcomed us. I would strongly recommend this tour to people , interested in other cultures.

Xieng was amazing! He was our tour guide in Luang Prabang and he went above and beyond. He followed our pre-booked itinerary, but took advantage of other activities in the area (like the Hmong New Year festival) and offered those to us as well!! We could not have asked for a better tour. It exceeded our expectations and Xieng was so kind and helpful the whole time – especially with my aunt’s gluten allergy. We wish he could have been our guide during our entire trip. He spoiled us for sure! Thank you!
