Itinerary
8:30am – Your guide will collect you from your accommodation in Luang Prabang.
Board a traditional slow boat and cruise 25 km along the Mekong River, taking in the tranquil scenery as you pass riverside villages, farmland, and water buffalo cooling off in the water.
Stop at Xang Hai Whiskey Village, where you’ll discover the traditional art of Lao rice whiskey making. Explore the rustic distillery, learn about the centuries-old process, and enjoy the opportunity to sample and purchase local products.
Approximately 11:00am – Arrive at the Pak Ou Caves, a sacred pilgrimage site perched above the Mekong River. Explore the two limestone caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues and figurines left by worshippers over generations, while admiring the spectacular river views before returning to Luang Prabang.
Approx 1.00pm – return to accomodation.
