We spent four fantastic days with Sieng in Luang Prabang, Laos. He is an exceptionally kind man who manages to balance his depth of knowledge and professionalism with a tremendous sense of fun. We even spent a very lively evening with Sieng and our driver playing Pétanque with the locals – an unexpected highlight amongst all the great things we did with him. We recommend him without hesitation – 5 stars for sure!

Recently, I had the good fortune to experience the Remote Villages tour with Sieng, from Lao Explorer. We visited some Khmu and Hmong villages and gained some insight into how these wonderful people manage to live, under difficult conditions. The villagers were natural and warmly welcomed us. I would strongly recommend this tour to people , interested in other cultures.

Xieng was amazing! He was our tour guide in Luang Prabang and he went above and beyond. He followed our pre-booked itinerary, but took advantage of other activities in the area (like the Hmong New Year festival) and offered those to us as well!! We could not have asked for a better tour. It exceeded our expectations and Xieng was so kind and helpful the whole time – especially with my aunt’s gluten allergy. We wish he could have been our guide during our entire trip. He spoiled us for sure! Thank you!

Xieng was our guide during our 2 days stay in Luang Prabang. He showed us many temples, restaurants with Laos food, foodmarket, art villages and waterfall and was wonderfull even in succes and adversity( I was getting lost and the car was broken down) and also we had a very capable and friendly chauffeur.

Sieng is a very helpful and amiable guide who speaks excellent English. He is definitely a 5 star guide. He is friendly but not intrusive, flexible, accommodating and knowledgeable. Sieng made our Laos trip perfect.

We travelled with Mr Sieng and Mr Cellphone for 3 short days in Vientiene and Luang Prabang and they took excellent care of us- I love Laos and cant wait to return with Lao Explorer!

Am Ende unserer Mekong Schifffahrt wurden wir am späten Nachmittag in Luang Prabang am Bootssteg von unserem Tourguide Sieng abgeholt und ins Hotel gefahren. Er gab uns noch eine kurze Information über den Tourverlauf des nächsten Tages.

Am nächsten Morgen holte uns Sieng mit seinem Fahrer beim Hotel ab für die Tagestour.

Wir besuchten verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten wie z.Bsp. das Nationalmuseum im ehemaligen Königspalast, den Wat Xiengthong und die Stupa des Wat Visoun.

Gegen Abend gingen wir auf den Mount Phousi um den tollen Sonnenuntergang zu geniessen.

Am 2. Tag gings früh morgens zum Morgenritual der Mönche, die diverse Gaben sammeln.

Danach besuchten wir verschiedene einheimische Dörfer um das laotische Leben kennenzulernen. Nach dem feinen Mittagsessen fuhren wir noch zu den Khouangsi Wasserfällen, wo man auch Baden konnte.

Unser Tourguide Sieng hat uns sehr Familiär aufgenommen und viele Historys in einem guten Englisch erzählt, er hat uns auch mögliche Sehenswürdigkeiten aufgezeigt, die wir wählen konnten. Zum Beispiel Elefanten füttern, oder Buffalo Eiscrème schlemmen. Er war sehr flexibel und ging auf Wünsche ein.

Wir können Sieng als Tourguide weiterempfehlen.

Highly recommended. We had a very well trip of Laos 5d4n. Everything is perfect. The tour itself is impressive, the guides are kind, helpful and fun. Beautiful country worth exploring.
